                  Water Outlook for 2017

Even though McPhee is full, this does not mean MVIC will have a plentiful water supply. The water that is being spilled from McPhee goes down-stream and reduces our available water.  MVIC is not able to store water when the lake is full.  We are a river company, not a reservoir company with the exception of Narraginnep and Groundhog. These reservoirs are used to supplement MVIC's supply from the river.

The outlook is based on predictions.  Things that can change the water outlook are weather, temperature, how fast snow melts, rain or snow, and water usage.

                           WEEDS

MVIC will not be spraying weeds on right-of-ways.  It is the responsibility of landowners to control weeds on their property.

The following link provides information on a cost-share program through Montezuma County for weed control.  This program is only for the 2017 year.  Click the link for more information.
